Filippa K was founded in 1993 by Filippa Knutsson and Patrik Kihlborg at their kitchen table in Stockholm, Sweden.

Filippa was inspired by what she herself lacked and wanted to create a brand that understood the challenges of everyday life for the modern woman and man. Filippa K Outlet opened in October 1999, offering the same design and quality as other Filippa K garments, but with 30-70% lower prices. The outlet sells clothes from previous seasons and sometimes also exclusive sample garments that are not included in the regular collections.
