At Didriksons we have a simple philosophy: We do not challenge the elements, we adapt to them.
Just as Julius and Hanna Didrikson did, as early as 1913 when they began to make work clothes for the fishermen in their village of Grundsund on the westcoast of Sweden. For over a hundred years we have been our basic idea faithful. Making functional garments that keep you dry and comfortable regardless of the weather. Maybe that’s why, a hundred years later, we are still Scandinavia’s largest brand for rainwear and functional clothing.
Didriksons started as a family business, and we say that we still are. Our clothes are made for the whole family. Our customers age from one to one hundred years old. Everyone needs functional garments, which work in everyday life, every day, whether it is raining or not. Clothes with a timeless, classic design that works in the long run.
Our world is different today than when Julius and Hanna started Didriksons. That means we have to take better care of it. We are constantly working to reduce our environmental impact, leaving as little imprints as possible. We minimize the use of chemicals, say no to toxic substances, and use as little water, energy and transport as is possible in our production. This is a job that never ends, but we do it so that our children can take over the world after us.
Have you decided on a Didriksons garment? It can be good to know that we have used all our knowledge – we have used all our years of experience, and weaved in hundreds of years of product development – in every one of our garments. Because we want you to be able to do exactly what you want, when you want, and still be dry, happy and feeling good.
